How your super performed during the September quarter.

As Chief Investment Officer, Stewart Brentnall confirms in his Investment Insights, markets continue to face a number of challenges.  

As a result, investment returns across a number of ANZ Smart Choice Super investment options were impacted for the quarter.

According to SuperRatings*, the average ‘Balanced’ option for Australian super funds was down 1.7% for the quarter, but up 5.9% for the last 12 months. And despite the volatile quarterly performance, long term super fund returns remain strong, with an average return of 8.2% over the last five years.

Below are the latest investment returns1, as at 30 September 20152.
